New Jersey Motto: Do things over and over (and turn right to go left)
I hate New Jersey.
Normal procedure: 1. Get your car registered in New Jersey. 2. Get your car inspected in NJ. 3. Get your car insurance switched over.

If you wanted to do this in one day, you can't. You have to waste time twice to do it, since AS A PART of the CAR INSPECTION (you know, to make sure your car operates on the road) is that is has a piece of paper saying you have NJ. How does that make my car road worthy?
Okay, we live in the 21st century but the state still operates like it's in the 19th.
We have an inordinate number of ways to track my car: VIN, registration, title. Insurance companies also have complex databases holding the same information including which state the car insured. Why is it too hard to have the registration tied to the VIN and therefore the insurance such that when the insurance location changes, the MVA gets notified. How hard is this? If FedEx can track a billion packages a DAY. This is not a complexity problem by any means.
I hate New Jersey.

Doesn't everybody in NY/NJ end up in Florida anyway? Makes sense to me! :)
I am so sorry Ken, I had no idea when you said you were moving it was to NJ. You have my deepest sympathy and condolence.
My first speeding ticket was from an NJ cop. I only ever had two tickets, so I would agree with you. (Actually I blame myself because I was on cruise control both times and I didn't notice the speed change for the first 1/4 mile-- which is where they sit).
Thanks GB :)
