Audio: What's your favorite carol or holiday song?

Not my favorite, but I love the way this song dances in my head.  I hope you like it too.

Radiohead release their seventh studio album today and it's only available online and you set your own price.  Will you buy the album?  Do you buy the idea?

Enough with the two part questions.

1. No.
2. No.  In free market economics, people will pay the lowest price possible.  If you don't know what value your own music is worth to you, then it must be worthless (i.e. $0.00).
3. The reasons Radiohead is releasing their own work: the recording industry is a dying animal, relying on old methods to disseminate new music to the masses; it costs only bandwidth to release an album digitally; DRM is restrictive to the artists as well as the consumers, and is only there for the distributors/producers/marketers.  At least those are the reasons I believe they are doing it.

What song do you wish would never show up on a karaoke list?

The Macarena.

Oh and any song out of my vocal range (extremely high and low).  :)  Except drunk karaoke, because everything goes (even tune and coordination)

A couple of things I've learned:

1.  Vox can't display the m4a file format.  Surprise.  They're busy making some bs meetup/group/navigation bar crap that you won't use.
2.  I've reduced Jay's steps down to 3.  A lot of times the artwork isn't kept in the file for iTunes, but you can embed it easily.  ctrl-click on the artwork and select Copy.  ctrl-click on track and select Get Info, click the artwork tab and ctrl-V to paste.  Upload track and done.  iTunes does get a lot of artwork very easily, but it kind of cheats on the embedding, but you can fix it.

You all probably know this.  I wonder if there's a way to script this so you can select the track, select the image and click to embed....?

Well, for all my efforts, I've only recovered 4 out of 5 chapters of my writing.  Just about all the research is gone.  Eh.

Now it's time for me to go on a personal trip.  My Mom's broken in little pieces, so I need to go home and put her back together again.  While I am annoyed that my brother and sister can't take care of my Mom's house (hello, they live there), I can't say that I'm that upset about going.  I don't think I've been home for a couple of years.  Now that my Mom's got three yappy dogs will make the three day trip two days too long, unfortunately.  I like dogs, but not the multiplicative effect of more than one dog smaller than my cat.  It's why I have a cat.

I need to catch up on the QotD when I get back.  There have been a few good ones.  I've just been immersed in my own world of late.
